This product description is going to be a little different. Hi, I’m Marnie, the founder of The Mint Sweater and the babe who writes these descriptions. This particular dress is named after a sweet acquaintance that I met only once. Clearly, she made an impression on me because I haven’t forgotten her since.

I wanted to name this sweet dress after someone I had met at a “business” conference a few years ago, her name was Maggie.

Maggie has been the only person from that conference who to this day will still like and comment on some of my posts, she is the only one who sends her love and care as if she’s known me her whole life.

She was the most humble person I ever met. She owned a phenomenal catering business that had the most delectable food and at that conference while every attendee, volunteer, and speaker sat around for dinner she had to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable even though she WAS an attendee.

Maggie is the definition of a listener. She would talk to everyone there and listen to every word. You could see it on her face, she genuinely cared to hear what others were saying to her. She never interrupted, she didn’t talk over others, she listened and she cared.

During this conference we had our picture taken. During hers, you could see Maggie wasn’t the biggest fan of being the center of attention while everyone watched her get her picture taken. While everyone kept commenting on how beautiful and radiant she looked, you could see Maggie blush and glow more and more.

For me, I always think about the women in history we admire. The one’s like Audrey Hepburn and Princess Diana who were full of grace, humility, poise, and still had that spark of liveliness in them. In that moment I thought, Maggie is one of those women.

I admired her for the way she carried herself, the way she treated others, and for the inspiration and leadership she showed others.

All I can say is, when you wear the Maggie Millan dress, think of Maggie. Live your evening, special occasion, or fun spontaneous afternoon and feel as if you are a princess, a Maggie in today’s world.

Because you are. You always have been and you will always continue to be.
